Book Review: “The Secret”
I read a book called the secret and it wasn’t like the normal books ive read. The secret was written by Rhonda Byline in 2006 and is a compilation of many writings and quotes from many different people from many different walks of life. The whole book revolves around the theme that what you think about the universe will make happen. The writer starts off telling you about the troubles she had recently gotten into and goes on to tell how that led her to find the secret.
The secret is what the book spends the next 185 pages explaining and also how the secret was suppressed by the upper elite who all know the secret but don’t want you to know. The first few pages goes in to detail about if you want it you should think about it and it will come to you, and that means anything. This means anything anyone wants they can have just by merely thinking about it and doing what ideas or actions the universe communicates to them.
There’s a catch, It doesn’t matter if what you’re thinking about is good or bad it will bring that to you. So if you are thinking about the bad things that are happening to you at the time more bad things will happen. Dr. Joe Vitale stresses many times if you think about bad things you will attract those things to you. Bob Proctor is a philosopher and says it best on page 15 “The law of attraction is always working, whether you believe it or understand it or not.”
This book is filled with doctors, philosophers, scientists, nutritionists you name it there in here. Later they go on to talk about the use of the mind to cure the body of disease, cancers and other so called terminal diagnoses. If you want to heal the body focus on the good and thank yourself for your healing the book says. They also say to seek medical advice and that mind healing should be used in conjunction with body healing and i agree completely. Dr. Ben Johnson says “We’ve got a thousand different diagnoses and diseases out there. They’re just the weak link. They’re all the result of one thing: stress.”. He’s the leader in energy healing. Dr. John Demartini says ” I always say that incurable means “curable from within.” ” Buda says “with our thoughts we make the world” that’s not out of the book that’s mine but still. Morris Goodman was flying his plane when it crashed crushing his spinal cord broke the first and second cervical vertebrae destroying his swallowing reflex and paralyzing him and his ability to breathe without a machine. He used to visualization techniques in this book to walk out of the hospital by Christmas of that year.
The doctors said he never walk, talk or breath on his own. At the end they get into E=mc squared and how everything is made up of energy at its core and you can neither create it nor destroy it. They relate that to hunger saying that there is no need for hunger there is plenty of food for everyone there is an abundance of everything if you just focus and believe. Not only are we made up of energy but our thoughts are energy also so they have a residence and that’s what you are putting forth when you call out and declare what you want. I like this book a lot its got a lot of neat concepts and if everyone thought this way it would be a great place.

That your thoughts make reality is certainly true- and not just in a ‘mind over matter’ sort of view, but quite literally.
Some readers might be wondering how everyone can be making reality at the same time. Wouldn’t all of these contradictory thoughts cancel each other out?
Yes, but only if reality is a singular entity.
What if what we think of as reality is not a single path though space and time, but an infinte range of paths that we take with every decision and every thought? An infinte range of parallel realities that we can ’steer’ ourselves though by our thoughts and actions.
In this model everyone can make their own reality, becuase there are an infinite range of realities.
This is one explanation of how Affrimations work. With affrimations you consciously tell the universe that you already have what you want, and over time the universe delivers it.
Its no different than what The Secret describes, except you write down, or tell yourself something like “I, Joe Smith, weigh 140 pounds” - not that you’ll lose weight, but that you already are at the weight you want to be at.
Over time if you persist in writing this down or saying it in your head, it will happen.
And that is my secret.
Did none of you learn anything from the Matrix? Reality is in the eye of the beholder. Your mind makes it real. Basically, it doesn’t matter that you think you are sitting here, reading this comment. If your brain says you are, then you are, but in my mind, you might be in an asylum somewhere, deemed crazy because you keep insisting you are reading this post.
IN all truthfulness, this is a good read, thanks for recommending it
